About This Speaker
Bruce Alberts is Editor-in-Chief of Science magazine, Professor Emeritus at the University of California, San Francisco, and one of three United States Science Envoys. Alberts, who has dedicated his career to promoting science education and international scientific cooperation, is also noted as one of the original authors of The Molecular Biology of the Cell, a preeminent textbook in the field now in its fifth edition.

Alberts declares “Success doesn’t really teach you much, failure teaches you a lot”. Speaking from his personal experience, Alberts asserts that all scientists make mistakes and suffer setbacks but learning from those failures is what allows one ultimately to succeed.
